Noteworthy:

I have great friends. Originally we were supposed to get together last night for SuprT's b-day, but sadly, a friend of our gang of girls' mom very unexpectedly died. Last night the group of us got together and made the trek to Thamesville for the wake. NK was really happy to see us, and I believe it's a good thing to confirm our friendships with the background of real life. Although NK's mom's death was on our minds, we had a lot of great laughs and fun on the hour trip there and back. Maybe the death reminded us how incredibly short life is. Maybe we needed some time together without distractions in a big SUV. Whatever the reasons, I certainly had a great time last night. Again, I have great friends.

Newsworthy:

When I initially heard reports of Michael Jackson's hospitalization I was of course surprised. When I heard that CNN was reporting his death I was shocked. I really thought the media had it wrong with all the Farrah Fawcett drama going on.

Now, why was I shocked? Because his age? Not really. Because of his stardom? Nope.

I was shocked because it sounded to me reminiscent of L Ron Hubbard's death many years ago. L Ron who you may ask? The founder of Scientology - the crazy who stated that he would live forever. Well, yeah he died, but 'they' didn't announce it until just after the space shuttle blew up, although he died weeks earlier 'they' were waiting for a big media event to overwhelm the masses so his death would go 'unnoticed'. A la Farrah Fawcett.

Well aren't I the little conspiracy theorist!

The second thought in my little brain was disbelief in a few other facts:

- he's dead

- it's fairly accepted that he is a child molester

- he's broke

- he was having an autopsy done when it's obvious to me a whack a doo to the extent who is Michael Jackson would be cryogenically frozen or at least have his brain switched with a monkey's or some other Frankenstein-ish thing.

So, just as Elvis hangs out at Burger King in Kalamazoo Michigan, I will forever think that Michael Jackson is living as a white man on a beach in Thailand with a harem of young boys.

'Cause that's how I roll.

No Surprise:

Well, well, well, Monica Conyers was actually mysterious City Council Person A who was being investigated for a crap load of bad, illegal behavior. How incredibly not shocking. That woman gives off the stink of entitlement like no other human in the history of humans. Way to go Monica! She took a plea deal, which is amazing to me that she would admit any wrong doing, however an FBI investigator stated that the evidence was overwhelming and incomparable in depth!. Wiretaps and a camera in her vehicle (said to play as clear as one of those annoying Sonic commercials) apparently showed her blatantly asking for kickbacks and offering to be bribed, along with countless other charges. No code words for Monica, she was direct using real names and terms that can't be confused. Brilliant! 

The media is going nuts in Detroit. I can just imagine the talk on even the sports talk radio channel, as Monica has called in and thrown her ego around on sports radio! 

At least she was wasting federal tax dollars instead of only city tax dollars. Good job Monica!
