Goings ons
Again, 3 days since my last post... what have I been doing that I haven't had 20 minutes to sit at the computer and write something? Not that I've really had much to say...
TOL's birthday at Viewpointe with wine tasting and a culinary demonstration was exceptional. The chef was amazing, and the place is going to be a major tourist attraction as soon as it's a bit more completed. We had a great time, however, due to my Designated Driver status as pretty much all wine has been giving me a lovely allergic reaction... the 1/2 glass that I had resulted in minor face swelling and redness. Fun. It just makes me uncomfortable to be around people when I'm like that. Although I *feel* fine, some people stare, and it freaks me out. I cut the night a little short, but had an awesome time and would totally recommend it for a group of people that want to do something different...
There was another *issue* at the ladies 18 hole league on Friday afternoon. Seriously, some people are so greedy and petty... they want and take but don't give, offer or sympathize, let alone use logic or impartial judgement. I was seriously about 2 minutes away from quitting... but I realize that this league's disharmonious (is that a word?) existence is a challenge. It will get better, and I'll play a part in making it a fun league... so far, not so much...
I've been working for wine over at my sister's place. They simply do not have the time (and when they do, they want to do something fun, who can blame them?) to do yard work, so I've been pulling weeds, (never, never, never plant raspberry plants ever!) raking, cleaning, hosing, sweeping, and soon I'll be digging and whacking. I've now in my possession 2 bottles of Summer Sun (my favorite wine! of which I have not opened although the devil in me put it in the fridge yesterday afternoon... why would I do that when I'm taking it to TN?) and a nice Gewurztraminer (uh, yes I had to look up that spelling) that the wine man recommended... by the way, I thought the Riesling at Viewpointe was awesome...
Kiki and I leave for TN in less than a week. I'm pretty excited as I haven't been there since November, and although there will be a lot of maintenance stuff to do, I know we'll have a great time... I hope to golf well at Tansi! Arg!
